For those heading to Haiti for any amount of time, whether two days or two weeks, you are guaranteed to come across a drink you may very well find to be your new favorite. Cola Couronne is the oldest manufactured soft drink from Haiti. Brasserie de la Couronne, the company that makes this drink has been producing it for more than 80 years and without sign of stopping anytime soon.

Favorite Among Locals & Tourists
Because Cola Couronne has been around for so long, it has not only become a stapled beverage for the Haitians but has also gained great popularity with the tourists coming into the country as well. Many compare the drink to the classic Coca Cola as it has similar flavors and the same amount of calories dialing in at 120 alongside 31 grams of sugar in each serving. With a slightly lower sodium level, beating out Coca Cola 31 to 45 grams, Cola Couronne is sure to label “low sodium” for all to see.
Cool Off With the Tropical Bubbly Flavors
If you have ever been to Haiti, then you undoubtedly know how ridiculously hot it can get there from sunrise to sundown. Though you can of course kick back on your holiday and bust open a bottle of beer, why not instead crack open something will in fact taste like you are in the Caribbean? Cola Couronne has a tropical, bubbly taste that you may just find incomparably better than a beer while soaking up those Haitian sunrays.
Everything Tastes Better in a Bottle
Due to the fact that the country of Haiti has no aluminum throughout and no plans of bringing it in, all of the Cola Couronne made and produced there comes always in a tall glass bottle. However, the company has recently gained a U.S. plant in Miami called Universal Beverages where they produce Cola Couronne in an aluminum can. Because there is an increasing population of Haitians, they have been able to sell these in South Florida and various other parts of the United States. Despite the fact that it is readily available in a can, I think everyone would agree that there is just something about drinking it out of a glass bottle that makes it taste all the better. No matter which you prefer, the production of all Cola Couronne is not only going to be a refreshing taste of tropical flavors to you but something that allows the economy in Haiti to continually grow in very positive ways.
