The most recent in the World Stage arrangement of pictures by Kehinde Wiley (brought into the world 1977), this volume presents 13 new works of art, the consequence of the craftsman’s trip to Haiti― In Haiti Wiley effectively went searching for excellence, organizing expos to cast his representation subjects and promoting with open approaches the radio and blurbs set up in the boulevards of Jacmel, Jalouise and Port-au-Prince. Wiley worked within the tradition of pageant culture native to the Caribbean but also subverted it, choosing his winners at random the canvases draw on the masterful customs of France and Spain.
